It sounded like you shifted to 5th gear at the end of the track??? Did you shift to 5th or do you just roll through 4th gear? I know you are still on the stock bottom end, but we revved mine to 8500 w/ no problems on my 6262 setup. It was hitting about 125-126mph at that point in 4th. Just curious.

Yea I'm shifting to 5th at about the 1000' mark. My 4th gear only go's up to 115-116mph

As far as the T-case it's still stock prolly will ship it out to shep sooner or later I do a pretty good job of slipping it off the line so I'm not that worried about it yet the QM Twin is so easy to launch with.

^Were working out the cage issue right now going through some options not really set on something yet.

As far as boost the car was running 30psi

BTW this is Chris hehe

Chris if you dont plan on staying below 135 mph then just put in a 5 point roll bar. Better get that something in there, there is about 6 weeks left till the next CMI event.

BTW what size wheels do you run? I had a talk with Hoosier yesterday and they might be willing to make me some 225/45/17 Drag radials which they dont make at this point. If this happens my BFG's will be coming off.

Mike i believe he's sourced a 6point and doubt he will be going 135+ on the 6speed unless he starts to make some crazy POWER :aggressive: or he does some custom gearing but at that point he might as well go with a built 5speed......he's gunning for the 6speed record if i'm not mistaken.

Not 100% sure he said he will update with pics and more info when he gets it.

Not sure if it's chromoly or nmild steel??? Also not sure if he is planning on using 6x6" plates to bolt or weld in???

Hey Mike yeah we did end up getting a 6 point roll cage I'm not sure as to the exact info on it but it is due to come in this upcoming thursday.

For wheels and tires on that run in the video I was on some heavy 18in wheels I just got a new set of evo 9 Enkei's running some Falken all-season's which will be used for the next runs. After seeing so many people having success with the All-season tires on evoM cutting some 1.6' 60 foot's I decided to put some on and see if I could do the same.

Yeah like Pat mentioned it's real tough to get a good trap with the 6 speed, right now I think the car is good for 127-128mph trap and that's about it shifting to 5th really does suck on the vid you can hear me shift to 5th at the very end barely even using the gear before I hit the traps.

I think the plan right now for tires is to run the all season's and than go to a slick of some type maybe MT or MH we will see when that time is up.

The plan is to head back out to Infineon on the 29th of this month and try again for a 10sec pass.

For your power drag radials will be plenty. I had no problems cutting mid 1.5's with my BFG's without the need of a 2step. Not till I start making 580+whp it became a problem. This is why I plan on changing to a set of Hoosiers and sell off my BFG's.

Yea right now I just wanna stay with the all-season's because if the next step is to be taken with the car it's gonna be a big step that's why I'm very undecided about tire options right now I'll make the decision when the time comes. The goal right now is just to run the best ET we can with the current setup and then decide on the upcoming changes from there. I don't plan to stay at any kinda power level right now, knowing me it just might get out of hand and crazy hehe.

imho........i say if you can find a set of 17" bfg dr's those would be the best bang for your buck.....you could go 1.6's on all seasons even high 1.5's but i bet you could probably be way more consistantly in the mid to high 1.5's on the bfg's.......there was a time when you couldn't find them but i haven't looked into them for a while.......

I was thinking of the Motorcycle slicks in the next phase of my car i think i'm gonna just go all out and go for broke lol it might actually make me broke but WTH with it. I wanna have a car that's gonna compete and compete strong and put on some go shows at CMI, BOTI, and PINKS this year, that's the over-all goal.

That's the only problem racing in specific classes as in CMI you won't be able to run the MT motorcycle slick. That's why i mentioned the BFG DR....it would comply for all sanctioned classes cmi, boti, and wed night drags so you don't end up in comp rod class.

Ohh and to answer a question in a previous post the cage I believe is going to be outa mild steal hopfully not to heavy

I was searching around and I saw that MT made a drag radial but the sizing was to big at 275. Would like to jump on those hoosier drag radials if they are gonna make them at 225/45/17 would be nice

Correct, they have to be DOT. I should be taking off my BFG's soon and there is plenty life left in them.

As for the Hoosier drag radials in 225/45/17, I will let you know after I find out Chris. He said it shouldn't be a problem since they have molds in that size for road racing tires.
